The awards will fund early to mid-career women working within a STEM 2 D university department. The deadline to apply is September 30 th. Applications for the 2023 WiSTEM 2 D Scholars Award open on August 22 nd. Sitting within the UT Austin Division of Diversity and Community Engagement (DDCE) administrative unit, WiSTEM leads exemplary and nationally recognized pre-college and undergraduate student STEM programs with. Johnson & Johnson WiSTEM2D Scholars Award Program. Currently serving 60+ schools and 1,500+ girls, WiSTEM builds social networks for female high school. Prior to graduate school, Stadler was a Fulbright scholar in India where she studied algae for treating wastewater. Women in STEM (WiSTEM) is closing the STEM gender gap by creating an inspired and diverse community of confident STEM leaders. WiSTEM is an international organization empowering and inspiring young women to pursue STEM. Individual fellowships entirely supported Stadler’s doctoral research, including a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and University of Michigan Rackham Merit and Predoctoral Fellowships. The WiSTEM Summer Bridge Accelerator is a six-week academically intensive residential program for entering first-year students who are pursuing degrees in mathematics, dual degree engineering, computer science, physics, chemistry, biochemistry, environmental science, biology and economics. Her dissertation received the 2016 CH2M/Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award. in environmental engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Over three years ago, the Kauffman Foundation published a report that I wrote with Alicia Robb and Susan Coleman, two renowned experts on entrepreneurship among women. Through fundamental research on how microorganisms share antibiotic resistance genes in water systems, she intends to advance the safety and sustainability of Earth’s water infrastructure.
We provide support and networking opportunities. All MTU full-time students are welcome to join the society. Her investigations also explore water sustainability and controlling the dissemination of antibiotic resistance in the environment. We make sure to inform WiSTEM members of the opportunities that are available after and during university.
